How are companies? – Business campaign supporting entrepreneurs in Outokumpu and Polvijärvi in January

The How are companies? business campaign by Business Joensuu kicks off in January for the fifth time. The campaign brings business experts to meet entrepreneurs in Outokumpu during Week 3 (January 13–17, 2025) and in Polvijärvi during Week 5 (January 27–31, 2025).

The campaign aims to assess the current situation, service needs, and growth opportunities of local businesses while also reaching out to new entrepreneurs and individuals planning to start a business. During the campaign weeks, Business Joensuu experts will contact companies by phone and text messages and make business visits. Representatives from the City of Outokumpu, Municipality of Polvijärvi, and the North Karelia Employment Region will also participate in these visits to support entrepreneurs with workforce availability and provide practical advice on utilizing employment services. Entrepreneur breakfast events will also be organized during the campaign weeks.

Business services supporting growth and development

The campaign particularly focuses on companies considering development and growth opportunities. Tailored services are offered to them, such as the three-week V!rtaa – Short Group Coaching for Small Entrepreneurs starting in February in Outokumpu, and the Grow² Growth Coaching for SMEs, held in Joensuu from March to May.

Previous How are companies? campaigns have reached hundreds of companies, addressing topics such as financial management, funding opportunities, recruitment, business succession, and public procurement. Business Joensuu provides entrepreneurs with free expert support for all stages of their business operations.

• Outokumpu: Week 3 (January 13–17, 2025)
  Register for the Entrepreneur Breakfast event in Outokumpu on Wednesday, January 15, from 8:00 to 9:30 at Kyykeri Manor (Kyykerinkatu 18, Outokumpu).
  
  
• Polvijärvi: Week 5 (January 27–31, 2025)
  Register for the Entrepreneur Breakfast event in Polvijärvi on Friday, January 31, from 8:00 to 9:30 at Timotei Flower and Funeral Services Oy (Pappilantie 1 A, Polvijärvi).

During spring, the campaign will gradually expand to Tohmajärvi, Kitee, Rääkkylä, Ilomantsi, Liperi, and Heinävesi. Business services in Liperi will be organized in collaboration with Lipertek Oy.
