We are part of the Enterprise Agencies in Finland network, serving early-stage entrepreneurs and businesses as a regional Enterprise Agency in the Joensuu region and surrounding municipalities.
Under the guidance of our business coaches and with the help of peer support from entrepreneur colleagues, you will learn to build entrepreneurship that looks like you, and you will be able to start your business properly with your strengths. Working in a group results in completely new kinds of insights and perspectives for your business.
From the business plan to business activities
During start-up company coaching, we help you create the official documents - business plan and calculations - around your future business idea that you will need when applying for start-up grants and funding. You will also have access to the necessary everyday tools of entrepreneurship. In addition, you get to advance your capacity to work as an entrepreneur by focusing on the skills and strengths you need. You will identify your resources and opportunities, analyse potential challenges you may face, and explore how you can overcome them.
The power of entrepreneurial peer support
In coaching, group work helps you hone your business idea while practising your networking skills. The experiences, support and discussions with other entrepreneurs as well as the advance group work tasks open up new perspectives and give you energy as an entrepreneur. This is why it is important for you to invest in building a good and functional business and support network from the early stages of entrepreneurship. Networking is very useful, for example, in expanding and developing business as well as supporting an entrepreneur's own well-being.
In our operating area, anyone interested in starting a business, along with recently started entrepreneurs are welcome to the free start-up coaching. Your business idea can be from any sector.
Start-up coaching in brief
The coaching programme lasts for 6 weeks. It consists of 6 group coaching days and 2-3 individual coaching days:
- The intensive period is approximately 6 weeks
- Group sessions (6 x 3 h)
- Individual sessions (2–3 x 1 h)
- Clarifies your business idea, and you’ll create a high-quality business plan and calculations
- New ideas and sparring
- Networking with other entrepreneurs
- Scope 3 credits, can be included in studies

You can see the schedules for the start-up entrepreneurship coaching groups conducted in autumn 2024 below. Register for your chosen group by filling out your registration details on the form.
