ForteAI’s smart resume service revolutionises the job search and recruitment experience – € 90,000 in growth funding, presentation at Slush 2023

Joensuu-based ForteAI fully automates resumes and streamlines job searches through artificial intelligence and machine learning. ForteAI transforms resumes into artificial intelligence agents that provide career advice, represent talent in the job market and work with other profiles on the platform. The growth company received a total of € 90,000 in new funding from Start Up Fund Joensuu and the North Karelia Growth Fund. The company will present its first prototype at the Slush event in late November and early December.  

ForteAI is launching a new artificial intelligence-based ecosystem that transforms traditional resumes into artificial intelligence agents. On the platform, the AI agents of individuals and companies cooperate, negotiating and reaching agreements with each other. Forte’s profiles are dynamic, which means that they are updated continuously. The profiles are integrated with third-party platforms from which information is collected continuously. This streamlines the job search and recruitment processes as the platform immediately identifies suitable applicants, writes job applications for them and updates their resumes automatically. 

ForteAI makes strong use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. It is a completely new type of service on the market. Forte profiles are also meant to replace old-fashioned and static PDF resumes. 

- Our mission is to reach a point where no one needs to write a resume or browse job postings any more, says Jan Valkonen, ForteAI’s CEO. 

The company is still in its early stages. Start Up Fund Joensuu and the North Karelia Growth Fund funded the development of the first product version with a total of € 90,000. 

- This funding has been used to accelerate development. We will start a new funding round at the Slush event, where we will present the first prototype of the platform, says Valkonen. 

Start Up Fund Joensuu's manager Kari Pulkkinen sees a lot of potential in ForteAI's business operations. The fund seeks to identify these kinds of companies and find ways to be involved in building up their total funding. Pulkkinen also mentions the ForteAI team, which has strong IT, software and artificial intelligence expertise acquired over several years.

- This is a winning team, and it’s good to get on board with them. The market is also large. We look forward to seeing where ForteAI’s path leads and how the company's growth takes off, Pulkkinen says.

Together with Business Joensuu's Business Accelerator and internationalisation services, the Fund supports the domestic and international growth of its target companies. The fund is an avenue for companies’ second phase funding round. While the fund is not subject to any field-specific restrictions, its main focus is on companies that specialise in digitalisation, the forest bioeconomy, and materials and innovative technology. Target companies must operate in Joensuu, want to be located in Joensuu or have a connection with the Joensuu region at the operative activity level.
