Business Joensuu and the YTYÄ project will run their How’s it going? business campaign for the third time in Outokumpu and Polvijärvi. In February and March, the employees and partners of Business Joensuu and the YTYÄ project will be actively in contact with companies to ask them how they are doing and what service needs they have. Project organisers are not only contacting companies and people planning to start business activities by phone, but they will also meet them face-to-face for coffee and during company visits.

At least 180 companies will be contacted in Outokumpu and Polvijärvi. The objective of these encoun-ters is to help companies in a straightforward manner and free of charge in the different stages of their business and service needs.  This year, the focus is especially on new companies that have been oper-ating for 0–3 years and companies that are considering their current situation and growth of their com-pany.

As many face-to-face meetings as possible will be organised for companies and people planning to start a company. Each municipality in the campaign has team members and partners from Business Joensuu and the YTYÄ project available for a relaxed discussion about different business-related ques-tions over a cup of coffee. During the campaign, organisers will also visit companies on site. Compa-nies will be contacted by text messages and by telephone.

Business Joensuu has previously ran the How’s it going? campaign twice in the Joensuu region in the area of six municipalities. In addition, the Business Whisperers campaign has been implemented in the City of Joensuu for several years. In total, more than 1,900 companies were reached in these cam-paigns last year. The discussions highlighted, for example, recruitment and the availability of skilled labour, transfers of ownership, public procurements, and the growth, development and financing of the company.

Campaign schedule

The How’s it going? business campaign will be carried out in Outokumpu in week 9 (27 February to 3 March 2023) and in Polvijärvi in week 12 (20 to 24 March 2023).

Coffee events will be held on Thursdays: in Outokumpu, on Thursday 2 March at 7.30-9.00 a.m. in Kahvio Kosilkka and in Polvijärvi, on Thursday 23 March at 7.30-9.00 a.m. in the premises of Kukka- ja hautauspalvelu Timotei.

The How’s it going? campaign is organised in Outokumpu and Polvijärvi by Business Joensuu in coop-eration with the City of Outokumpu, the municipality of Polvijärvi, North Karelia TE Office and YTYÄ! - Working Together for Results project.
