Economic Development Center - Business development grant (EAKR)

The Centre for Economic Development provides SMEs with development grants for investments, growth, internationalization, and business renewal. Funding can be used for launching new business activities, strengthening innovation, and improving competitiveness. Funding is sector-specific.

Rural Business Funding 

Rural business financing supports company start-up, development, and investment in rural areas. It is primarily targeted at micro and SMEs. Funding is provided by regional Centres for Economic Development and local Leader groups. In North Karelia, these include Joensuun Seudun Leader, Keski-Karjalan Jetina, and Vaara-Karjalan Leader.
