Startup Joensuu for Companies at Seed Stage
Through the StartUp Coaching Program, you'll improve your ability to run your business effectively. The goal of the program is to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how to implement scalable business operations while helping you prioritize what to focus on and in what order.
A clear picture of a scalable business is developed by exploring key areas of business operations and applying the knowledge and skills directly to your company’s day-to-day activities. Throughout the coaching process, you'll develop and refine a prioritized action plan to be finalized by the end of the program.
You'll receive support through:
•Peer support from fellow StartUp entrepreneurs,
•Expertise from experienced mentors,
•Pilot opportunities with leading companies, and
•Coaching from Business Joensuu's coaches and experts.
•program lasts six months, with meetings held approximately twice a month, for a total of 12 sessions.
Start-up Fund Joensuu
Our fund can enable your company to invest capital in the development of early-stage business and to employ and grow towards the international market. The StartUp fund obtains its capital from the City of Joensuu and private investors.

- With our growth funding, start-ups in North Karelia can strengthen their team, develop their business model and growth strategy, and open up new markets both in the home market and internationally.
- Start-up Fund Joensuu invests primarily in start-up and growth companies that utilisedigitalisation, new forest bioeconomy products and services, new materials and innovative technologies. However, the fund has no sector restrictions, so other sectors are also potential investment targets. The target company must be located in the Joensuu area, be willing to move to the area, or be connected to the area through its operations.
The fund's capital is EUR 2.5 million, and a typical investment is EUR 50,000–200,000.
