The Joensuu region is Europe’s leading forest bioeconomy centre for training top experts and developing world-class solutions to address climate change and the sustainability gap. Its international ecosystem provides companies with excellent opportunities to boost their success, development and international visibility. The Joensuu region is host to several leading global companies and technology pioneers that export 70% of their output. New actors in the green transition are making their way to the Joensuu region and strengthening its already vibrant ecosystem.
Our current Key Account Manager is moving to a new position, which means that we are looking to bolster our sales team. Our goal is to attract new investments and companies to support the development and growth of the companies that are already operating in the region. You are who we are looking for if you are already experienced, passionate about learning new things, and well-connected to the actors and individuals in the field.
You will engage in diverse tasks as part of a skilled team of green transition and forest bioeconomy experts. You will help attract new green transition and forest bioeconomy operators to the region and cultivate corporate investments and growth. You will be responsible for organising services for our clients to support their corporate placements together with the rest of our customer service team. You will also help build the worldwide reputation of the Joensuu region together with the region’s RDI sector.

Our office is located in Joensuu Science Park, in Joensuu, Finland, and we also work in multiple locations. The position requires travel both in Finland and abroad.

In addition, we collaborate extensively with our clients and stakeholders to promote the current and future success and growth of the companies in the region. We help companies quickly, professionally and with the results to match. Business Joensuu operates in the Joensuu region and in Central Karelia - an area encompassing nine municipalities, 125,000 inhabitants and 7,500 companies.
